Access Learning: AI Learning Content (2025-2026)
Filmed lessons, live online classes and recorded conversations on AI literacy for Access Learning’s professional development library, through repeat commissions over fifteen months.
Capabilities: Curriculum and topic development · Filmed presenting · Live online teaching · Panel contribution
Engagement: Recurring commissions from Access Learning, part of The Access Group, since August 2025: three studio filming days, a podcast-style recording, three live Virtual Classrooms and a customer webinar, with a further class booked for December 2026.
The challenge
Access Learning produces video-led professional development content for people working across many industries. In July 2025 the commissioning team asked me for an AI series aimed at professionals who influence decisions and want a useful grounding in the subject. They wanted two formats: expert talks of around ten minutes, and “Nanos” of under 90 seconds, each with a single takeaway. Both needed a conversational style, presented from notes rather than read from a script.
The approach
I started by proposing the topics within my expertise, and suggesting where other specialists would be better placed, such as on the EU AI Act and detailed accessibility legislation. For the first shoot I outlined expert talks on evaluating AI responses and on AI’s social impacts, plus a set of short videos on subjects ranging from hype and deepfakes to energy use and open models. I worked from structured talking points, and reviewed the draft video titles with the production team for accuracy.
From there the work grew into new formats:
- August 2025: a first studio day, filming expert talks on evaluating AI responses and on social impacts, and a set of short videos.
- October 2025: a second studio day, built around an expert talk on running AI experiments at work, with short videos on workplace and marketing uses.
- February, August and September 2026: three live Virtual Classrooms, each designed and presented by me: “AI: The Power of Playfulness”, “AI, Language and Power” and “Experimenting with AI”.
- April 2026: the independent expert on a live customer webinar panel about workplace skills gaps, alongside Access Learning colleagues.
- June 2026: a third studio day on AI anxiety and AI’s social impact, using Access Learning’s updated format of expert talks, explainers and shorts.
- October 2026: a podcast-style “Conversations” shoot with Iwona Fluda, recording three episodes and a series of shorter discussion sequences.
Across all of it, I kept the material independent of any single AI product, so the lessons stay relevant as the tools change.
The impact
Access Learning has now published over 40 of my videos on its Bookboon platform. The team told me my videos had been “so well received by our audience” and that “our learners have really responded to it”. After the first shoot, they described the finished work as “even better than I’d hoped”. In December 2025 they began featuring me as a “flagship example expert” in their AI upskilling material, and invited me to start teaching live classes. A further Virtual Classroom, on synthetic media and trust at work, is booked for December 2026.
