Be in my test audience
When: Fri 6 Sept, 2.30-4.00pm (BST - London Time)
Where: Online, Zoom link sent via email
What: A talk about emerging AI applications for producing films and supporting with tasks behind the scenes
Who: Presented by Jocelyn Burnham from AI for Culture
Why: These test sessions help me figure out timings and whether the type of content flows correctly for a live audience. They are hugely helpful for making my final presentations more useful to upcoming audiences.
Preparation required: None
In advance of my talk with the BFI's FAN CON in Belfast this September, I'm looking for some online volunteers who'd enjoy learning about how AI is evolving in filmmaking and how people in support roles might benefit from GenAI fundamentals too. There will also be an opportunity for open discussion and questions.
No previous knowledge about AI is necessary. An interest in film is helpful, as we'll be watching several short AI-assisted films and perhaps hearing from their creators too. There will also be an (easy!) interactive task to try.
It’d be best if volunteers haven’t previously seen my work, as some material will revisit topics I have explored in previous workshops.
Following the session, I'd be hugely appreciative if participants could complete a short feedback form to help me further refine the session before it's next presented.
If you’d like to take part, please express your interest below (it’s not necessary that you work in the film or cinema industry.) You’ll recieve confirmation no later than Tue 3 Sept that you’re booked in. Thanks!
