Personal Pong
Tell an AI a little about yourself and it will rebuild Pong to suit you, then explain every change it made. Play it and see what it decided about you.
Use a laptop or desktop computer. You’ll be copying code from one website into another, which is fiddly on a phone.

How to make yours

Write two or three sentences about yourself
Write them the way you’d introduce yourself to someone new. You could mention your job, where you live, what you do for fun or something you’re not very good at. Only include what you’re comfortable sharing. You can also make it up.

Open Google AI Studio
Sign in with a Google account. Click “Code and Chat”, then choose Gemini 3.8 Flash (or whatever the newest model is called).
Already have a ChatGPT or Claude account? You can use that instead: paste the prompt there in the next step.

Copy this prompt into the chat
Replace the yellow part with your sentences, then send it. Leave the other square brackets as they are: they tell the AI how to write its explanations.
P5JS Scene. Create a single-screen browser game inspired by Pong, played against the computer. Use simple shapes, include brief instructions and a restart button. Here is how the player describes themselves: [TWO OR THREE SENTENCES ABOUT YOU]. From this, make an educated guess about a few more things about them that they haven’t said. Change the game so this player will enjoy it more, based on both what they said and your guesses, including how it plays, not only how it looks. Before the game starts, show a screen headed “Made for you” that lists every change, each written as one sentence in the form: “Because you [what the player said or what you guessed], I [what I changed].” Put “(my guess)” after anything you guessed. Keep the game immediately playable.

Copy all of the code
Wait until the AI has finished writing. Use the copy button on the code so you get every line, from the first to the last.

Paste it into play.aiforculture.com
Paste the code into the “Your code” box and click ▶ Run. Your game appears on the right. Click on the game once before you play so it picks up your keys.
To play it bigger, click ⛶ Fullscreen just above your game.

Read the “Made for you” screen, then play
Your game opens by explaining each change it made and why. Anything marked “(my guess)” is something it decided about you without being told. Which guesses are right, and which feel like a stereotype?
What to notice
- What did it decide about you that you never said?
- What felt stereotypical or unnecessary?
- What surprised you?
- What did it change without telling you?
If something goes wrong
Check you copied all of the code and none of the AI’s explanation around it. Paste it again and click ▶ Run.
Ask the AI: “Please add the Made for you screen before the game starts, as the prompt asked.”
Click “Explain & copy the error”, then “📋 Copy for your AI”. Paste that into AI Studio, ask it to fix the code, and run the new version.
Click on the game once, then try again.
Tell the AI what happens in plain words and ask it for a fixed version.
Ask it: “Please give me the complete code in one block.”
Paste the same prompt into ChatGPT, Claude or another AI chat tool instead.
Finished early?
Change one detail
Keep your sentences but change one thing, such as your job or your town, and compare the two “Made for you” screens.
Invent someone
Describe a made-up person who is very different from you and compare their game with yours.
Challenge a reason
Tell the AI one of its reasons was wrong. Does it drop the assumption, or swap it for another one?
Spot the silent changes
Look for anything that changed in the game but isn’t on the “Made for you” screen.
